Announcement Type: Character

Hello, darlings! I hope everyone is having a good time!

I wanted to let you know that we have our first quarterly activity check in the first week of April. Our full activity policy is located here, http://commondescentmush.com/character#toc7, but I want to make some important clarifications for the first time through.

We will only be reviewing those characters who have been approved for two weeks or more on March 31st.

We will check that all characters have a wiki page set up. If you do not, your character will not be considered to be in compliance. Staff will not hunt down logs and approval dates all over the website and game nor set pages up found to be missing, so please consider this your FINAL warning to set up your character's wiki page if you have not already! Ask if you have questions or need help, but it's very straightforward when you use the page generator at the bottom of this page: http://commondescentmush.com/character-directory. Give it a try, and ping us if you get stuck.

All characters with wiki pages will need to meet one or more of the following requirements to avoid being reopened:

  • Hero and Neutral FCs: A log POSTED in the month of March. This is not IC date, but the date which it was added to the wiki. (This date is automatically generated by the system and not alterable by players or staff.) This is to avoid penalizing players who are still be RPing, but working on backscenes.
  • Villain FCs: Two logs posted within the quarter.
  • OCs: Have logged into the game in the last 90 days.

- OR -

  • An active vacation waiver for the month of March, and compliance the month prior to that waiver's start. EXAMPLE: If you're an FC who received a vacation waiver for March, you would need to have a log posted in February.

Cutscenes do not count towards activity, but GMing for another player does. Just make certain your character's tag is on the log you GM'd for.

As no one has yet attained vet status, no warnings will be issued for characters who are out of compliance. The best thing to do is to verify for yourself that the scenes you've been in show up properly in the logs section of your character page for your alts and that you are meeting applicable activity requirements for your character type prior to March 31st.

If you have any questions about this policy, please reach out to a member of staff and, if you find you're out of compliance, you still have two weeks to correct it!

Happy RP!
