Adrienne Frost

Adrienne was the eldest child of Winston Frost, one of the richest men in Massachusetts. A fact that should have put the world on a silver platter for her. Instead, she spent her entire life never quite measuring up, right from the very start: her father had wanted a boy to take over the family company and manage the family fortune. So when she was two-years-old and her younger brother Christian was born, Adrienne was pushed aside for the first time.

Christian would be followed by two more sisters, Emma and Cordelia, before the Frost family was complete. Growing up, Adrienne did everything she could to be the perfect child that her father wanted, including constantly undermining her younger siblings in order to stand a little taller herself. She worked tirelessly at school, did everything her father wished and even modelled herself upon him.

But it was never good enough for her father — she wasn't a boy. Winston was a cold and domineering man, manipulative and abusive. He constantly set his children against one another in some twisted contest to win his approval. Adrienne learned early to be ruthless and unflinching in pursuit of her goals.

Rather than stand up to her brutish husband, Adrienne's mother, Hazel, sought refuge in prescription medication and alcohol. When Adrienne discovered secrets about her brother, she wasted no time in bringing them to their father, hoping that, with Christian out of the way, she might finally get her claws into the family business. She graduated from Business School, with high honours, a full year ahead of schedule.

Disowned due to Adrienne's efforts, Christian started abusing drugs, and eventually attempted suicide. It wasn't Adrienne that sold him out to daddy this time — but the result was the same: when their father found out, Christian was shipped away to some mental hospital. Now, finally, the way was clear for Adrienne to take over. Or was it?

Instead, her father tried to name her younger sister Emma as his heir and successor, saying that she reminded him of himself. When Emma refused the honour, and left home, Adrienne — somewhat grudgingly — accepted what Emma had turned down. Trying to ignore the bitter taste of not being first or even second choice, Adrienne took a position with the family firm and started her budding career. She kept herself entertained by finding fun new ways to embezzle from the company, even managing to manipulate her way into keeping her job when her father caught her.

She then found herself a powerful match in her new husband, Steven, which rocketed her to new social heights, and gained her power in their new joint company as well. Unfortunately, Steven turned out to be an abusive asshole, and he and Adrienne fought constantly through their entire first year of marriage. Finally, she had enough and arranged to have him killed, while staging it to make it look like he'd been mugged while jogging.

When her husband died, Adrienne finally realized her dream of taking over the business — but the win was bittersweet, since Emma had already by this time started her own company from scratch and been CEO for years.

Now she sits, head of an extremely powerful international conglomerate, Meridian Enterprises, with her fingers in every pie. But it's still not enough. It will never be enough.

Recent Events

Manipulative — Adrienne learned from the best — he father. She will remorselessly manipulate and maneuver people to reach her own ends. She is a mastermind at understanding what motivates people to give her what she wants, whether it's playing nice or threatening bodily harm.

Unremorseful — Few things make Adrienne feel bad. If she ever had the capacity for true guilt, she lost it long ago.

Machiavellian — She can't help it, scheming and lying is in her blood. She views life as a game, and the people in it are just tools and playthings, to be discarded when they are no longer of use to her.

Ambitious — Adrienne is extremely driven and motivated to be the best at everything she attempts. Nothing is done by half-measures. 'Good enough' is not a thing that exists for her.

Outgoing — While she rarely feels any true connection to anyone, Adrienne enjoys being around people. She likes to schmooze and party. An extrovert to the core, her energy feeds off having people around her — as long as they properly admire her amazingness.

Character Sheet

  • [PSYCHOMETRY] Adrienne has the power of psychometry: she needs only the slightest touch of an object to immediately know the object's past, present and potential future. She has very good control of the ability, and is able to filter out the things she wants to know from all the 'noise'.
  • [FAMILIAL IMMUNITY] Due to some quirk of genetics, Adrienne is immune to the powers of her siblings, including Emma's.
