The Hulk

Robert Bruce Banner was born in Dayton, Ohio to Dr. Brian and Rebecca Banner. But, as all great origin stories go, this is not one of those origins. Bruce was abused verbally and physically by his father, who did not want to have children. Bruce finally found the courage to leave after Brian killed Rebecca in one of his many rages, and from then on Bruce lived with his aunt in what became a very healthy family environment for someone as gifted as Bruce to live with.

His great intelligence earning him good scholarships, which allowed him to study at Harvard University, Pennsylvania State University, and finally Desert State University. Earning degree after degree and freely showcasing his intelligence for all to see, Banner eventually began studying Nuclear Physics and became a mastermind of the field.

However, the United States governmen took great interest in Banner's specific skillset and recruited him in an attempt to recreate the Super Soldier Serum using Gamma Radiation.

We all know how that went.

Since the Gamma Bomb that gave Banner the blessing and great curse of the Hulk, Banner has been on the run from the military ever since, even finding solace with the Avengers as one of their founding members, joining them in many great battles.

But that doesn't mean Banner wants to be in the spotlight. He's been on the run more times than he can count, and the Hulk (in the public eye) has been hero, anti-hero, and villain at many different points of his career.

What will be next for Doctor Banner? Who can say.

Recent Events

At face value, Bruce Banner is shy, mild-mannered, and analytical. He's extremely intelligent and wise beyond his years, but he's also shown signs of paranoia and has a strong unwillingness to get close to others in a social situation. He avoids having friends or other interpersonal relationsnd above all else, avoids fights as best he can unless he's with the Avengers. He fears the Hulk, and fears nothing else BUT the hulk.

The Hulk, on the other hand, is notoriously dumb, fearless, proud, and very, very angry. The Hulk does not appear to be capable of intelligent thought and his first instinct to anything is to smash it until it can't be smashed any further…and smash it some more. The Hulk strongly dislikes Banner, and tends to hate it when the scientist is in control.

However, both of them share a mutual respect for one another.

Character Sheet

INCREDIBLE LEAP: The Hulk can JUMP. The Hulk, as his main form of travel, can leap incredible distances in a single bound. Usually, the Hulk can leap from state to state, but often times he'll make much smaller leaps so he can see where he's going. The Hulk once leapt into earth's orbit.

INCREDIBLE STAMINA: Due to the energies that power the Hulk, he virtually almost never tires unless that Gamma energy is somehow drained.

INCREDIBLE STRENGTH: The Hulk is strong. Impossibly strong. Monsterously strong. Perhaps even this monster's strength is unlimited. Even the Halls of Asgard speak of the Hulk's raw power in hushed whispers. The Hulk can lift well over 100 tons, but of course, there's a catch. Hulk's strength comes from his anger…and the angrier he gets, the stronger he gets. This has allowed the Hulk to perform seemingly impossible feats of strength. There is a reason the Hulk calls himself the 'Strongest There is.' He has lifted the unliftable, stopped the unstoppable, and in many cases rather than not, The Hulk, when he's angry enough, is in a class of power all of his own.

The Hulk is one of the only people who can dent and break through adamantium (assuming he's angry enough)

INVULNERABILITY: The Hulk's skin is impossibly dense and very few things can pierce it. The Hulk is thus extremely resistant to most forms of physical damage. Blades break on his skin and bullets bounce off of his flesh. Long falls just give the Hulk a headache and punches from beings even on his level just makes the Hulk angrier, and thus stronger. To date, the Hulk has survived nuclear bombs several times while being at the point of impact. However, this does not mean that the Hulk can't be damaged. It hurts, A LOT, and it's still possible for the Hulk to be knocked out by blunt force trauma OR could cause him severe pain by using Adamantium or Vibranium or Uru, the only known things that can pierce the Hulk's skin without fail.

REGENERATION: If somehow Hulk's skin is pierced and he bleeds, the Gamma radiation that empowers him allows The Hulk to heal swiftly from many forms of injury. There was a time when the Hulk's flesh had been completely removed from him, and the Hulk regenerated that in moments. This ability also seems to have an effect on Banner. For example, his aging appears to have stopped completely and it can even save him from death…at the cost of unleashing the Hulk. Once Banner got low, and attempted suicide to prevent the Hulk from ever emerging again.

The Hulk spit the bullet out.

This also allows Banner and the Hulk to be immune to diseases and toxins.

SUPERHUMAN SPEED: The Hulk's strong legs allow him to run up to incredible speeds! The Hulk can run up to 300 miles per hour. In water, he's a scary fast swimmer as well, able to swim up to 80 knots.

TELEPATHIC IMMUNITY: While Banner can easily be mind-controlled by a skilled Telepath, the Hulk? Not so much. Either the Hulk is way too angry for telepaths to find a grip on his mind, or there isn't much of a mind left to manipulate.

TRANSFORMATION: Bruce Banner, due to a previous accident, can transform in the Green Scar. The Strongest Avenger.

The Incredible Hulk.

The Hulk is the polar opposite of Banner in personality and abilities, and all of Bruce Banners metahuman powers come from the Hulk.
