As a child, Richard 'Dick' Grayson worked as a natural acrobatic prodigy at
Haley's Circus as a member of the renowned group, the Flying Graysons, with
his parents. The fame getting to him at a young age for his incredible
performances, Dick grew to have a pompous attitude to go with his natural
suave and charm, pushing away the friends he had at the time. But unbeknownst
to him, the circus owed one too many mobs some excess cash, and they sabatoged
the show as a warning. Dick's parents died right in front of his eyes at just
nine years old.

But his saving grace would come in the form of Bruce Wayne, who happened to
be sitting in the audience.

Having seen a mirror image in how his own parents died, Bruce took the young
man in and adopted him as his ward. While initially thats all it was, when
Dick was pursuing any lead he could find on who specifically sabatoged the
event, Bruce began to get involved more directly, training Grayson to become
his partner and sidekick, the Boy Wonder, Robin. With all the skills at his
disposal, he joined the Dark Knight against his war on crime for years,
becoming famous in the gotham community and feared in the criminal
underworld…for if there was Robin, Batman was never far behind.

But as all children do, Dick desired his own independance and eventually
split off from Batman in an equal attempt to escape the Dark Knight's shadow,
for he also didn't want to become Batman himself should something ever happen
to Bruce. Perhaps his most known fact during this time was his formation of a
group of special individuals, normally the partners of established heroes, and
working with them to stop supervillains all over the world and saving many
lives in the process.

But not all things lasts forever. Feeling the strain between New York,
Gotham, and the Titans, Grayson left the team to go on his own way and
rediscover himself in a brand new way. He evolved. Dick tossed aside the Robin
moniker to become his own man: Nightwing. It was around this time that his
love-life also became tumultous, dating multiple people one after the other in
both civilian and superhero communities. But with his continued vigilance over
Bludhaven and Gotham City, Dick decided that he could act in the day as well,
becoming a detective.

He fights by the law by day and as the Nightwing by night. His determination
against the forces of evil ever-present. But what else is new for the Boy

Time will only tell.

Recent Events

The first thing one notices about Grayson is his sense of humor. Its not quite
to the level of arrogance, but he approaches most things with a light-hearted
suave that most people wouldn't try. Unlike perhaps another vigilante, Grayson
doesn't let his shortcomings and his tragic past remain with him, but rather
he strives to improve himself everyday so he can consistently rise above. He's
dedicated to the defense of his city and although he spends his time in the
shadows as the vigilante known as Nightwing, Grayson is committed to helping
anyone in need at any moment. Be it through his day job as the ward of a
billionaire or in the night as the Nightwing.

Character Sheet

"And I'm unique in this family, a talker among writers. Alfred's got his journal. You've got your files. Babs keeps an account of everything. While I've only ever recorded a message like this once before… the first time."

"Every now and then I have the feeling I've totally lost my mind. It's a great feeling."

"Rule of thumb: when one gets bogged down, stop thinking, get a massage from a beautiful woman and let your mind wander …"

"We go topside. I Ching stays to secure the Lazarus Pit. Says 'To prevent forever from happening again.' I say 'I want to party with you cowboy.' The reference is lost on him."
