Wonder Woman

History

Diana wasn't 'born', but rather was created when Hippolyta molded her from
clay and the soul of a child who was never born was placed within it. Excited
over having a child upon Themyscira, the Amazons did their part in helping
their queen raise her. They trained her in their ways, the focus on combat,
horse riding and other important skills important to a warrior.

It was eventually decided by the gods of Olympia that the Amazons were to send
an ambassador to Man's World. Hippolyta held a contest, the winner of which
was to be the one to go out into Patriarch's World, forbidding her daughter
from participating. Diana did, disguising herself to do so, and won. Despite
Hippolyte's displeasure, she was allowed to go. Before she left she was given
the Lasso of Truth and the Sandals of Hermes.

When she first arrived she didn't know any of Man's languages, only that of
the Amazons. She also was entirely lost when it came to such things as
technology, many of those things almost frightening to her. Over the years she
learned their tongues, picking up many to near fluency, and how to use the
items that had her so lost upon her arrival. This was also when she started to
establish herself as a heroine, using her powers for good and the betterment
of Man and Amazon alike.

Personality

Diana is a woman who tries to be a beacon of hope to those who need one the
most, even when she herself might be plagued by doubt. She is brave and
compassionate, caring for others and putting their needs before her own. She
is also curious by nature, still finding a lot she has yet to learn about
where Man's World goes.

Character Sheet

Agility: More agile than Olympic-level gymnasts.

Durability: It takes a lot to injure Diana. Bullets will barely cause a nick, while injuries from more powerful sources might cause minor to moderate wounds. It'd take an attack from another super-powered person to truly cause her harm. There is one exception to this (see Drawbacks: Piercing Weapons).

Flight: Able to manipulate wind currents, Diana can fly without assistance.

Healing: She can heal all but the most severe of injuries fairly quickly. Small cuts take mere minutes to heal while such things as broken bones might take a couple of days instead of weeks. She also has access to a healing ray back on Themyscira that helps with the facilitating of healing more serious wounds.

Longevity: Not immortal, but Diana is longer-lived than mortals and many of her super-powered peers.

Reflexes: She can move out of the way of such things as speeding vehicles, gunfire and other such things.

Speed: Diana can move, react and think much faster than a mere human can. She is able to keep apace with a fast moving car, topping out at around 200 mph, and can fly fast enough to travel around the planet in just a few hours.

Stamina: Diana's body does not produce fatigue chemicals at the same level as others. She can exert herself harder and for much longer than the average.

Strength: Diana possesses great strength, well beyond what is considered normal for a mortal. On par with a yellow sun-powered Kryptonian, the upper limits of this power has yet to be truly tested but it is safe to assume she is one of the world's strongest heroines.
