* * *

Sam Guthrie is working behind the bar this evening. Sam has on black slacks and a white button up shirt. the place is mostly empty tonight so Sam is making sure everything is clean and prepared. He right now starts making some Lemon-aid for mixed drink.

* * *

*THUD* Something heavy lands outside the door of Harry's Hideaway, it's hard to say what exactly it might be from inside- but the fact that Crush steps through the door soon after might be telling as to just what (or who) landed in the parking lot a moment ago.

Crush is brushing dust from her arms and jacket as she walks over towards the bar, looking towards Sam when she takes a seat. She pulls out a bit of cash and puts it on the bar. "Beer. In a bottle." she says, making an order as she takes a quiet moment to look around the Bar and get a sense of just where she's ended up.

* * *

Sam Guthrie looks the woman over and says "Id?" He will ask her, waiting to see it before moving away from her.

* * *

"Don't got one." Crush replies plainly- a look her way would certainly show she's not human. Indeed- she's either a mutant or metahuman. Or.. as Sam might know with his alien knowledge, an alien. And specifically, a Czarnian.

Not a lot of those around anymore- just Lobo. And, apparently, this young woman.

* * *

Sam Guthrie looks to her, and says "Then best we can do is soda, tea or such. Have to keep with the legal rules and such."

* * *

"That's lame." Crush replies, "How am I s'pose to give you somethin' I ain't never had?" she asks, shaking her head. "How 'bout I just go get my own beer down by the corner store and drinks it here. That work for you? Or.. that too dangerous fer yah?"

* * *

Sam Guthrie says, "That would still get us in trouble. It aint that is is to dangerous, but Harry needs to keep his license and I work for him, so my main thing has to be keeping things right for him. "So, what brings you out here?"

* * *

"Well, it were to get a beer, but I guess that ain't happenin'." Crush growls as she sits at the bar, just shaking her head. "Other than that? Nothin'. I goes where I want, when I want. So, here I am."

* * *

Sam Guthrie smiles a bit and says "Well, am sure plenty of places would serve ya, but Ah am pretty sure your what about 17 or so? You have to be 21 to legally get drinks.

* * *

"Ain't none of your business how old I am. Old enough to drink, that's all that matters." Crush says, "Old enough to fight, old enough to live on my own." she retorts with a bit of a toothy snarl. "Alls I want is a beer, and that's some big deal. People always gotta tell other people how to live. Pretty bullshit."

* * *

Sam Guthrie looks to her, and says "Laws of the land. If we don't listen to the laws things can get bad, and maybe there is places not to listen to the laws, but not where it will hurt your friends.

* * *

"That's lame. Laws that take away freedom ain't good laws." Crush replies plainly, "Anyways, I dunno, get me like.. cola, I guess." she says with another shake of her head- "Don't see how me drinkin' a beer is gunna hurt nobody, but alright. I think it's stupid, but you gotta do you."

* * *

Heading into Harry's is Paige, who is giving a loud yawn, followed by a stretch. As she ambles to the bar and slides in next to Crush, she gives her a curious glance, then looks over to Sam. "Hey there." Her Southern drawl is thick in her throat. "Hit me with a coke. Movers got th' rest of th' stuff over and unpacked."

* * *

Sam Guthrie nods a bit and will pour her drink offering it over to her, and says "Don't think I have ever seen you around here before. What brings you around here? and I don't just mean the hideaway.

* * *

"Ain't never been here before is why." Crush replies, looking over towards Paige as she appears- then back to Sam. She takes a long sip of her coke. "What about you? You must live near here if you work here. Seems like a sleepy place. Ain't a whole lot goin' on."

* * *

Sam Guthrie oos missed paige joining us wow

* * *

Sam Guthrie will move to get Paige's drink, and looks over to het "They get everything where we want it or do we need to move stuff around when I get home

* * *

Taking her coke that Sam surely serves her, Paige sips at it. She props her chin up in the palm of her hand. "It's all good. Everything is where it should be. We just gotta decorate now." She glances to Crush again, sizing her up. "There sure ain't a lot ta' do around these parts, but you look like a new face."

* * *

"Yeah. Just dropped in." Crush replies over to Paige. "And this guy won't sell no beer if you ain't got an ID, just a heads up." she grumps towards Paige regarding Sam. "Ain't right, but gotta be this way, apparently."

"Don't think I'd stay here long. Gotta have some life happenin' around me otherwise I'd go crazy. Cities are good for that."

* * *

Sam Guthrie smirks a bit and says "Oh she knows how stubborn ah can be trust me on that one." He makes sure they are both good before moving to work on finishing up the lemonaid.

* * *

"Yeah, he's a real jackass." Paige says with a drawl in her throat as she props her chin up in the palm of her hand. She gives a glance to Crush. "How come you don't have any ID on you?"

* * *

Crush shrugs, "Ain't never had one before." she replies, "Still don't. Probably for the best with all this registration bullshit." she says with a quiet, if bitter laugh. "Ain't nobody's business but mine what I can or can't do. They don't need to know me, just know I ain't causin' them no grief, that's it."

"Course..I do get into a lotta trouble. I like trouble." Crush says with a playful, if wicked grin.

* * *

Sam Guthrie looks over to Paige, "Reminds me of what Logan must have been like when he was young." He will tell his sister as he finishes the lemonaid, and gets himself a soda.

* * *

"Except less hairier." Paige says with a laugh as she sips on her soda. "So you're a mutant then?" She asks curiously as her brows lift upwards some. "Is that why you brought the registration thing up?"

* * *

"It ain't just mutants they wants to register." Crush replies over to Sam and Paige. "And no, I'm Czarnian." she says, "Alien. From another planet or somethin'. Ain't never been nowhere but Earth, though, so." she shrugs, "Still, they ain't takin' my name and information. That innit nobody's business but mine."

* * *

"Gotcha. So, I mean … are you over twenty-one?" Paige asks as her lips give a twitch upward. "Since you gotta be to get a beer. You are, right?" She asks as she sips on her coke, watching her brother amble away to get a lemonade.

* * *

"I'm old enough to drink." Crush replies, not answering the question directly. "I drink all the time." That much is true, "Ain't like it's hard drugs, you know. Just a beer." she shrugs, "But if I ain't got ID it's a problem here, so.. ole' boy can do his thing. Ain't me who's got the stick up my ass over some card."

* * *

Sam Guthrie comes back after a few moments, and will have an appetizers platter he looks to the ladies and says "Here is some food ladies." He will tell the as he set them down.

* * *

"Sam, get me a beer. You know the kind ah' like." Paige says as she takes a sip to finish her coke, then nudges the glass back. She gives a grin over to Crush. "Yeah, too bad 'bout the whole ID thing. Rules are rules after all." She says as she reaches to snag a wing out of the bowl that is brought over.

* * *

"Thanks." Crush offers to Sam when the food appears. Appetizers will sate the savage Crush. Or, at least, get her mind off tasty beer. Still, Paige's request for a beer does get a little stare of inhuman, red eyes. They turn back to a mozzarella stick, though. There are few things that sooth a savage Crush better than fried cheese.

"So, what made two come here. You don't sound like yous from New England." Crush wonders, between bites of food.

* * *

Sam Guthrie will get the beer, and set it down in front of Paige, but before he takes his hands off it he will say "Do not give it to her, Ah do not want fired, and Harry does not need to loose his liquior license. " He looks his sister in the eye as he says it before moving his hand off the beer.

* * *

Smirking at him, Paige says, "Pfff, please, you won't get fired. Harry been serving /us/ beer when we were younger than her." She says as she pulls the bottle to her, then takes a sip from it. "Don't act like you're an angel all of a sudden either." She gives a glance over to Crush and winks. "We're from Kentucky. Sam's my brother."

* * *

"Cool. We lived in Kentucky for a few months when I was younger. Me and my adopted parents, I mean." Crush says, "Got really pretty mountains in the East. That's where we was at, in some trailers. It was a nice summer till we hadta move on." Crush explains, "I think my Dad worked maybe two weeks inna coal mine or somethin'." she shrugs, "I was sorta young then, though, so all them moves sorta blur together for me."

* * *

Sam Guthrie looks over to Paige giving her the don't do it look, and says "Ah wrked in the coal minds for a bit myself, our Pa worked in it, till he passed. He will move to serve another customer.

* * *

As she watches Sam head off to another customer, Paige is all grins before she glances to Crush. She tips a wink at her, then takes another sip of the beer. "He's always like this, real stick in th' mud. Nice ta' meet a fellow Kentucky girl. We're from Cumberland. Was ah' real nice place, just too small. No jobs and ah sho ain't gonna work in no mine. Got a teaching degree instead."

* * *

"Been a long time since I was in Kentucky. We moved a lot." Crush says with a shrug, "Don't think I lived no-where longer than maybe five or six months growin' up. Always on the move. It weren't so bad, though. Lots of family time." she says, as she continues to pick at the food and sip the cola. "Yeah, don't know if I'dda fit in there long term. I mean, I ain't exactly a southern belle."

* * *

Sam Guthrie comes back along when he has made sure everyone is served. He looks over hearing the last "Plenty of southern bells I know kick butt."

* * *

"I kick ass." Crush corrects Sam. "For a living. I go to them fights and I mop up- it's easy money. Been doin' it since I were like fifteen." she just grins, her fangish canine teeth on display. "That's what I love, gettin' in fights. Throwin' punches. Ain't found no-one who could beat me, yet. Too strong." she says with a bit of pride and clear confidence. "Speakin' of- there any like fight clubs round here? Run somethin' outta the basement?"

* * *

Sam Guthrie hmms and says "Not really any I know of, to be honest, but then I don't overly look for fights, if one finds me it happens, but not the type to look for it.

* * *

"Damn, you sound boring as hell, man." Crush says with a chuckle. "No offence or nothin'. Gotta get the blood going somehow. If it ain't fightin' what is it?" she wonders, "I mean, I guess you gotta do you. Maybe it's paintin' or.. I dunno.. Origami or some shit." she rolls her eyes, drinking the rest of her cola. "Like right now. I gotta move. I wanna punch somethin'. I wanna *crush* something. That's what I'm called- Crush. That's what I like to do."

* * *

Sam Guthrie smirks a bit and says "Sam." He will tell the the young lady. "My sister here is Paige." He will inform her "I am more find something interesting in the moment to be honest.

* * *

"What?" Crush asks, grabbing a hot wing to eat as she talks to Sam. "What gets your blood flowin' Sam?"

* * *

Sam Guthrie says, "Helping folks, occasionally a good challenge. Sometimes it is just a bit of compitition with someone, some times it id helping folks protecting them or such."

* * *

"Hey, I protect people!" Crush says, suddenly standing up. "Who said I don't?!" she asks, with a little frown. "I protect all sortsa people! I'm a real and actual heroine, who helps people. I free them from oppression and shit!" Her eyebrows knit together, "Like that!" Crush points at a Television showing news from Gotham- a warehouse collapsed and sent dozens of people to a hospital. Some are in critical condition. "I punished them peoples for hurtin' peoples! They was makin' slaves fight, so I done free'd them!"

* * *

Sam Guthrie looks to her, and says "Did not say you didn't help folks. You helped free some folks in Gotham? Thats a good thing to have done, really good thing.

* * *

The News chopper pulls back- a huge warehouse complex has collapsed in on itself… or been collapsed. It looks like a rogue missile hit it, the level of devastation is pretty clear. It's really just dumb luck no one died in that particular disaster. "Sounded like you was lookin' down on me for likin' to fight. Maybe I'm wrong."

* * *

Sam Guthrie shakes his head a bit and says "Na, you remind me as I said earlier of a friend of mine when he was young, and he is probably one of the people I respect the most.

* * *

Crush chuckles, shaking her head. "Well, I guess that's good." she says, as she pulls out some cash to pay for her drink- and the food. It's a fat wad of cash, too. Money won from bloodsport, undoubtedly. "I'll leave you and yer sister to it. Thanks for the food, Sam."

* * *

Sam Guthrie nods, a bit and says "Good to meet ya Crush, maybe we will run into one another again sometime."
