Ren Kimura- SHIELD's newest arrival is having a meal in the facility cafeteria. She's dressed in normal civilian clothing as opposed to the suits most agents seem to wear. She's certainly not in any tac-gear, either, but those metal gauntlets on her arms are a bit unusual.

She's sitting near a window, the cafeteria mostly full with few places to sit. She's barely touched her food, and instead is just looking out into New York with quiet as she twirls mashed potatoes with a fork.

Amidst the sea of suits, tac-gear and uniforms, Momo herself did tend to stick out a bit. She wore what was civillian wear, but the bright pink of the black-trimmed spagetti-strapped top was a distinct splash of colour among the sea of similar. The Korean girl did look rather young to be an agent or operative too, but the ID hanging from the lanyard around her neck seemed to confirm she hadn't just wondered in.

With her own tray in her arms and a carefully balanced can of soft drink courtesy of a vending machine, the girl makes her way through the rows, but inevitably her path comes near the new arrival and she offers a little wave with the can-hand.

"Mind if I sit?"

"No, go right ahead." Ren offers, looks over to the Korean girl who's sat with her. "It's a free table in a cafeteria." Japanese, by the looks of her- her voice is all USA, though. No accent. "Are you like someone's kid coming to work with them?" she wonders, eyebrows knitting together. Ren's security pass is not that of an agent, or anyone employed with SHIELD. Rather, she's here for "Medical" reasons.

A laugh comes at the question, earning a shake of the head from the young woman. Her voice? It carried the accent of her home, although her English was seemingly flawless so far. "I get that a lot," she admits before shaking her head. "I'm a SHIELD 'Asset on loan'," she explains, gesturing to her ID before she pops open her can and shrugs. "An agent brought in from somewhere else because I can do some stuff."

"Ah. Right. Sorry." Ren says next, taking a slow breath. She keeps stirring her mashed potatoes. Each movement of her fingers causes the 'ribbons' of those gauntlets to shift and move. Her plastic cutlery has obvious gouges in it from where her fingertips have drawn over it.

"Must be something to be so young and be a SHIELD agent." Ren remarks, "Where are you on loan from?"

* * *

"Officially, or unofficially?" Momo muses, shrugging her shoulders and then downing a gulp of her drink before she looks down at the moving 'ribbons' and the marks with a raised eyebrow. "I'm…a little 'different'," she comments before giving a shrug of her shoulders, "I guess SHIELD likes to make use of that, or at least keep an eye on it."

* * *

"I'll let you decide which." Ren answers flatly, "Yeah, different seems to be a pretty common thing around here. It's very much… interesting." she agrees, "I just sort of woke up here in the medical wing. At least they're letting me wander a bit for meals. I hate being cooped up."

* * *

"Officially, Korean SWC," Momo nods before leaning forwards slightly. "Unofficially, a taskforce for dealing with crazy mutants and Metas." She pauses however, tilting her head to the side. Limited freedoms were certainly not a new thing to her, but she does glance towards the window. "No kidding. I never got much 'free time' back home. The first time they let me go out into the city here? I got completely lost.

"I've lived in New York for a few years now. It's a great city, but yeah, it can be a little daunting if you've never been here. I typically stick to the clubs, though, for fun. I've always loved the night-life." Ren offers, "I'm Ren." she says, "I'd offer to shake your hand, but well." she lifts the clawed fingers a bit. "I'm still getting used to these."

* * *

"It's been…" Momo begins, pausing to count off on her fingers, "four months now?" she shrugs, grinning and nodding at the mention of the clubs. "Momo," she offers lightly in returns before she gestures to the hands and their claws. "So…that's new then?"

* * *

"Yeah." Ren says as a nurse appears in the door of the cafeteria and gives Ren a wave- getting her attention. "Well, looks like it's my turn to go in for more tests." she says with a bit of a sigh, "Nice to meet you, Momo." she says as she stands up and just leaves the tray with most of it's food behind. "I'm sure I'll see you around." And then she's gone, out the door and towards more testing.
