IGH Sentencing Disrupted

The sentencing of IGH financier Donald Kaminsky was violently interrupted by the terrorist organization known as the Brotherhood, who arrived intent to drag Kaminsky from the courthouse and execute him in the street. The Brotherhood's attempts were stopped by a vigilante response from recognized members of the metahuman groups known as the X-Men and Excalibur.

Public opinion has been split on the incident, especially in light of the approaching deadline of the Mutant Registration and Public Safety Act, with some grateful to be defended from the chaos — but others expressing significant weariness with being caught in the middle of fantastical metahuman struggles.

"I'm glad those flying fire girls did something," said Mary Richter, 47, who works near Foley Square and witnessed most of the altercation. "But if these metas would just obey due process and the law of the land, we wouldn't need them to be doing anything in the first place. Besides — they covered all of Foley Square in glitter. The City will be cleaning that up for years."

Richter refers to the inexplicable detonation of a bomb full of glitter at the close of the incident.

Kaminsky's sentencing will be rescheduled to a later date, upon his recovery from his injuries.
